Mbuso Khoza is an award winning vocalist and songwriter with a rich, authentic sound. A rare musical talent that rose from the rolling hills of Eshowe in Kwa-Zulu Natal and made sure to take the World Music circuit by storm.

Winner of Best jazz album in 2013, Mbuso has performed extensively in countries like Senegal, Burkina Faso, Portugal, Switzerland, France and The Netherlands to mention a few.

His first single “Eshowe” named after his birthplace, is a mid-tempo, easy listening tune, which speaks of the challenges he has overcome. The album is a delicate mix of deep traditional Zulu music infused with Jazz elements – showcasing the true depth of his artistic and diverse talent. He lists Salif Keita and Richard Bona as some of the artists who have influenced his sound. His vocal skills have thrilled audiences far and wide.

Mbuso adds a special flavor to Carlo Mombelli Quartet. A recent collaboration with Dutch award winning pianist Mike Del Ferro is receiving huge accolades in Europe currently.

Mbuso currently lives in Durban where he is working on finalizing a project that was commissioned by the Zulu King and also works within his community.
